A: There are many different options when terminating a chimney. Some people look at the aesthetics of the chimney while others look at cost. Discuss with your designer or builder what the best option for you would be that fits both your budget and personal tastes.

Q: Are there different types of pumice?

A: Yes, there are many different types. Pumice is mined and exported from all over the world. What makes the pumice in an Isokern fireplace or chimney system so unique is that it is mined at an extremely high altitude which causes the pumice to be cleaner and contains less organic material. Q: Can I install my own Isokern fireplace or chimney system or other products offered by Earthcore Industries?

A: Although simple and kit-like in design, Isokern products are not do-it-yourself projects and need to be installed by a professional. However, the Patio Series fireplace system can be assembled by the homeowner according to the assembly guide. The same can be said about many of the products listed in our product section. Please check with your sales representative, professional installer or the manufacturer to find out what methods are best for use.
